Day 1 - Arrival - Varna:

Arrival in Varna, accomodation in Hotel

Day 2 - Varna – Pliska – Madara – Veliko Turnovo:

After breakfast departure to the first capital of Bulgaria - Pliska (VIIth - IXth century). Visit of the archaeological reserve and the Great Basilica - a true masterpiece of medieval architecture, the largest Christian Orthodox temple in south-eastern Europe of the 9th century.

Departure to the Shumen region. Visit of the architectural reserve with a 25 m high stone relief of Madara Reiter, which is under the protection of UNESCO. This mystical place is one of the strongest energy zones in Bulgaria with healthy and psychological effects on the people who have been there.

Departure to the old Bulgarian capital Veliko Turnovo (XII - XIV century). Accommodation in the hotel. In the afternoon - city tour through Veliko Tarnovo, visit of the Wax Museum (representing the lifestyle of the royal court from medieval Bulgaria, the literary school, the most successful battles), the historic hill sTsarevets (the fortress, the Patriarchal Church and the Emperor Baldwin's Tower). Free time for a walk on the old commercial street of Veliko Turnovo - Samovodska charshia.

Day 3 - Veliko Turnovo – Etura – Sofia

After breakfast - departure for Etura: a unique open-air museum that recreates the lifestyle of the Bulgarians in the 19th century - one of the most visited places in the country.
Departure to Sofia. Accommodation in the hotel.
In the afternoon - city tour of Sofia and visit of the most fascinating sights: the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral; St. Sofia Church, which gave the name of the city; the ancient complex of Serdica, which gave the old name of Sofia and was the favorite place of Emperor Constantine the Great; St. George Rotunda; the square of tolerance towards the temples of the great religions in Bulgaria: the Christian Orthodox, the Catholic, the Muslim and the Jewish religion; the square with the royal palace; the boulevard named after the king liberator; Parliament; the National Theater, St. Alexander Nevski - one of the largest Orthodox temples in the Balkans and the historical and cultural center of the capital.

Day 4 – Sofia – Rila Kloster - Sofia

After breakfast departure to the Rila Mountains, the highest mountain in the Balkan Peninsula. Visit of the Rila Monastery, founded in the 10th century. It is the largest Bulgarian spiritual center since the Middle Ages until today and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is located in a picturesque mountain area. The Rila Monastery has a rich collection of icons and murals. His museum is a real treasure: a 81 cm high wooden cross with 104 religious scenes and 650 figures.
In the afternoon departure to Sofia. Leisure time to stroll in the pedestrian area of Vitosha Boulevard.

Day 5 - Sofia – Panagyuriste – Kazanluk - Plovdiv

After breakfast departure to Panagyuriste, a small town of Bulgarian national rebirth with rich history. Visit to the museum, where the famous Golden Thracian Treasure is housed, which was shown in a specialized exhibition of Thracian art in the Louvre museum. The Thracians are the oldest civilization in Bulgaria with extreme examples of jewelery, part of which is treasure. Visit of the village Staro Zhelezare. A village transformed into a gallery of a painter family (Bulgarian and Polish painters), art teachers in Poznan who painted all the local houses. famous people like Fidel Castro, Leonid Brezhnev, Brigitte Bardot, Osama Bin Laden, Vladimir Putin and others can be found on the facades. After the walk in the village, with enough time for pictures, a visit to the traditional house follows. The tourists are welcomed with homemade bread. Then you have the opportunity to prepare such bread yourself, to pound piquant and other herbs to get the famous Bulgarian "Sharena Sol".
After breakfast departure to Kazanlak, the capital of the Valley of the Roses and the Thracian kings. Visit the Rose Museum, where you can see how the famous Bulgarian rose oil is produced. Next is the Kazanlak Thracian tomb, which dates from the IVth century. B.C. - a UNESCO monument with unique murals.

Departure to Plovdiv. City tour of the city of seven hills - Plovdiv, the second largest city in Bulgaria and one of the strongest economic regions in the country. It is founded by the father of Alexander the Great - Philip II. During the tour, the old town with the Hindliyan House - one of the most famous houses in Plovdiv, which belonged to one of the four richest merchants of the city.

Day 6 - Plovdiv – Stara Zagora – Bourgas

Departure to Stara Zagora - short stay in the town of Linden and visit the ancient forum of Augusta Trayana and the Neolithic Museum. Departure to Burgas. Free time for a stroll in the city and in the Seegarten. Accommodation in the hotel, dinner & overnight stay.

Day 7 – Bourgas – Nessebar - Varna

After breakfast, visit the ancient city of Nessebar. The city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are more than 40 churches from different eras. The atmosphere is very pleasant with the old architecture of the houses, the romantic streets. Departure to Varna. En route visit of the Honey Museum with tasting and purchase of honey and honey products. Panoramic tour of Varna with stop at the Cathedral.

Day 8 - Varna – Deutschland
